Job Description 

The Client Administration Data Steward team seeks to provide our clients and partners with outstanding service without compromising the quality of SSGA data. 

Our objective is to continuously improve both the quality and depth of our data through the implementation of data quality rules, lead data integration initiatives, change the culture to embrace data as a valuable resource and generally advocate for the adoption of an EIM mindset.

The team functions as the steward of data for the firm across the Account, Fund and Client domains. 

In the role as team lead, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Collaborating with Client Administration management to develop a strategy for the improvement of Client Administration Data.
  • Communicating with partners to ensure key parties are aware of any issues, changes or initiatives.
  • Driving the execution of the strategy through the implementation of data quality rules.
  • Developing metrics to track and report progress on our data.
  • Coordinating the resolution of data exceptions with client-facing personnel.
  • Participate and/or lead long-term data quality initiatives with the goal of improving the state of data at the firm.
  • Actively participate in strategic and tactical initiatives in order to ensure a data stewardship mindset is incorporated into all projects.
  • Develop and maintain data governance procedures and documentation.
  • Own the integrated client on-boarding process to ensure our key systems accurately reflect our client data.


Ideally, you would possess the following skills and qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in management, finance, or accounting, project management (PMP, CPM or equivalent) and CFA-related programs preferred. 
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in enabling you to effectively work with management, team members, and partners. 
  • You are passionate about master data management 
  • You enjoy working independently and as part of a team 
  • You have the aptitude to quickly develop an understanding of system and process interfaces. 
  • You have advanced Excel, Access and other Microsoft Office capability. 
  • You have experience with Informatica or Tableau. 
  • You possess Project Management skills. 
  • You have an appreciation for programming language and familiarity with SQL and/or VBA.
