Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) exists within Commercial Banking and provides loan servicing functions to all four JPMorgan lines of business.  These functions include loan documentation, closing and funding, payment and fee processing, syndication loan and trade processing, credit administration and collateral perfection and management.  This role resides within WLS Integration Management which is responsible for the execution & governance of projects in support of key WLS functional areas.
One of the top priorities across the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) at JPMorgan Chase is to help the firm move toward a more integrated data management strategy.  Our businesses and corporate groups rely on data to facilitate and execute transactions, support our clients, identify potential risks, and meet regulatory requirements. The Wholesale Lending Data Steward will report directly to the Data Domain (Program) Manager within Wholesale Lending Services.  The Data Steward in addition to acting as guardian and decision maker for specific Wholesale Lending critical data elements, will also be accountable for executing on the 2017 agenda to drive adoption of the data elements back into the Loan Applications.  Additionally the Data Steward will have some accountability for building out a Data Management change control environment into Wholesaled Lending Services
  • Review and/or define specific data element business definition values in partnership with the business process owners and assigned Data Solution Architects to ensure proper business context and impact are understood.    
  • Review and/or capture metadata, review profiling results, document issues and establish data quality monitoring required to provide certification. 
  • Submit or approve new data elements, change requests, certification requests to the Data Management Council, as needed. 
  • Review and /or document data quality issues and prioritize them in partnership with the Data Quality team to ensure that issues are resolved within agreed timeframes.  .
  • Build relationships within and across line of business and partner groups to attain and sustain data quality.  
  • Active contributor in cross-line of business data domain meetings to establish and follow best practices.  
  • The Data Steward Analyst is expected to engage with assigned areas within the business operations to develop knowledge and subject matter expertise of the business processes, systems of record and authoritative sources and their usage.  
  • Accountable for understanding metadata, usage, standards and quality for specific data this role requires extensive interaction with finance, risk, lines of business and data governance/operations organizations.  



Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years in the financial services market, preferably across loan operations and/or loan technology required
  • Strong knowledge of business operational processes, data and technology platforms
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and interact with all staff levels
  • Proven ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work 
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)   
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree
  • Project Management experience, preferred
