About This Opportunity:

InComm recently purchased an Enterprise Master Data Management program.  We are currently in the process of implementing this new EMDM application (Informatica) and will need an Enterprise Data Steward to join the Enterprise Data Management team.  This is a key role to the EMDM implementation as there are activities on the project plan slotted for May/June timeframe that this role will be responsible for completing.

 

The Enterprise Data Steward is responsible for understanding and communicating master data management principles and standards as part of a business enabling team, which is implementing a master data management solution.  In this role, the Enterprise Data Steward will perform routine data management, monitoring, analysis, cleansing, and reporting activities in regard to enterprise master data.   Additional responsibilities will include: 

  • Work with the Informatica user interface.
  • Manage, review, and resolve manual merges
  • Review queues for duplicate data
  • Merge or unmerge data
  • Oversee the overall quality of the data
  • Ensure data conforms to defined set of rules we have in place for data
  • Research why data is rejected and manage the reject queue
  • Work with the technical analyst in defining data quality reports and appropriate corrective actions/prevention
  • Co-ordinate data quality efforts with appropriate teams
  • Manage and augment standard list of values 

You should have experience with the following:

  • 3-5 years of Data experience
  • Previous MDM experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • SQL Querying experience
  • Strong problem solving skills

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and enforce data governance guidelines and principals for relevant master data processes and functions
  • Identify, analyze, and report/resolve data issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • Define and provide management reporting on key data quality KPIs
  • Establish consistent data definitions and facilitate regular Data Stewardship and Governance Council meeting
  • Review and resolve manual merges with respect to potential duplicate parties and products
  • Perform reject queue management and analysis and provide recommended remediation
  • Maintain existing list of values and augment as needed
  • Ability to analyze a problem, communicate the findings, identify possible options, and create documented artifacts of the overall process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of data management principles, with experience in data analysis
  • Experience with master data management and data governance , practices, and procedures
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Be able to deal with ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels
  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical addressees
  • Able to quickly learn new technologies as they become prevalent and widely implemented including decision making, time management, and task prioritization
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrate effective problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
