The Sales Operations Data Steward will be part of a team of sales operations resources responsible for driving efficiencies in process, policies, and systems to support a world-class sales organization. The team you are a member of will drive all operational activities from Lead to Renewal processing. The success of the sales team will be directly impacted by your team’s ability to support them in their day to day sales activities. By building internal partnerships and relationships with cross functional teams across the organization including: Sales Enablement, Finance, Marketing, Legal, HR, Product Development, Professional Services, and IT your team will directly impact the success of Code42. 

Success in this role will include ensuring a high level of data quality across the organization through sound data management in support of critical business processes. The steward is responsible for customer data integrity including hierarchies and relationships to deliver quality data that drives business decisions and supports critical business processes.




  • Working with Sales Operation Managers, Sales Analytics and the VP of Sales Operations to support field Sales Managers (direct & channel) in all data stewardship to support Lead to Quote, Quote to Contract, Contract to Order, and Order to Renewal processes required to maintain a world-class Sales organization.
  • Serving as a support resource for Sales teams to address general data stewardship business and/or system questions or issues; escalate to Sales Operations Manager as needed.
  • Acting as a liaison/partner between the Sales Operations team and other cross functional organizations to drive data stewardship process efficiencies and effective sales strategies (Sales Enablement, Finance, Marketing, Legal, HR, Product Development, Professional Services, and IT).
  • Partnering with Business Applications team (IT) to document, review, and test business requirements and system enhancements to CRM system ( to automate and optimize the data stewardship.
  • Participate in the development of data stewardship process and governance for data management of the CRM system.
  • Participate in the development and measurement of day-to-day fields sales (channel & direct) data stewardship support processes and internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Strive to meet or exceed published SLAs.
  • Working with the team to develop, document, and implement existing and new processes/procedures for effective and efficient team operations.
  • Working with the team and management to identify process improvement and/or sales training opportunities. Assist with identification, development and delivery of sales enablement tools.
  • Responding effectively and in a timely manner to process all lead conversions/account creation requests, in accordance with established SLAs.
  • Performing research and creating/maintaining customer hierarchies using a variety of tools including:, Dun & Bradstreet,, the internet, customer websites, etc. This will include understanding reasons for company name changes and reorganizations such as mergers and acquisitions.
  • Researching, understanding, maintaining and implementing the data governance processes and policies agreed upon by Sales Operations
  • Ensuring sales compliance with published sales and business approval policies and rules of engagement (ROE).
  • Performing mass data cleansing initiatives for the purging and elimination of corrupt or redundant information.
  • Merging of account information and all associated content where redundant information exists in corporate systems.
  • Closely managing fields that drive Sales territory alignments.
  • Working with cross functional groups, to ensure accuracy and data policies are followed




  • Bachelor’s Degree or Relevant Work Experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Master Data management, Sales Operations or Sales Software Sales background (including SaaS and renewals management)
  • Experience with
  • Strong research skills using Dun & Bradstreet, and the internet
  • Solid understanding of MDM (Master Data Management)
  • Solid understand of best-practice data governance policies
  • Ability to analyze issues and situations systematically
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Great attention to detail


    Expert level in MS Excel
  • Lead to Quote, Quote to Contract, Contract to Order, and Order to Renewal sales process expertise
  • Experience with Sales Strategy and Planning, Process Design and Management, Sales Support and Administration, and Project Management
