Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Strategically designs and implements data warehouses, data marts, and data stores, while ensuring high levels of data availability. 
  • Defines and implements enterprise wide data standards. 
  • Designs logical and physical models for the data warehouse, data mart, staging, and the operational data stores. 
  • Communicates physical database designs to database administrator(s); evolves models to meet new and changing business requirements; develop process for capturing and maintaining metadata from all data warehousing components. 
  • Defines, designs, and implements data structures and database solutions that integrate with different information distribution platforms and comply with industry standards 
  • Develops strategy for migrating existing legacy databases and data warehouse(s) to a company's future state Data Warehouse solution 
  • Defines, develops, and implements ETL principles, standards, and guidance to support business intelligence and application development needs. 
  • Develops data stores to provide central integration of a given subject such as patient, claims, benefits, etc, that feed operational systems, warehouse and other internal and external data systems. 
  • Uses best practice to develop data marts to provide content-specific data to business area and implement aggregations as required. 

Qualifications
Lead and Architect Enterprise Data Warehouse

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or Data Science 
  • Related work experience within the Healthcare Technology Industry or Insurance Industry; experience working with healthcare payers/carriers in managing provider, claims, medical or patients data strongly desired 
  • Applied experience in secure file transfer protocol (sFTP), web services integrations, 
  • Salesforce, and JIRA is preferred 

 


5+ years of hands-on experience in the following areas: 

  • Industry-standard data integration methodologies, business intelligence, data warehouse principles and approaches; database and data warehouse design, development and team leadership with at hands-on experience as an architect on at least 2-3 prior projects. 
  • Data modeling (normalized and dimensional) using various data modeling 
  • tools/technologies 
  • Analyzing and developing data requirements and data specifications and translating them into data warehouse schemas 
  • Creating, mapping and documenting data within organization (source,targets, transformation rules, etc.) 
  • Hands-on experience in developing solutions within Greenplum database (or equivalent relevant experience) 
  • Leading the evaluation and selection of all related infrastructure components such as software, hardware, database management systems and networking capabilities related to enterprise's information architecture. 
  • Project coordination/team leadership and mentoring background is required (or equivalent relevant experience)
