Senior Master Data/Data Governance Analyst


Position Summary


Leads master data standardization and governance. Define and instrument data governance policies and procedures in collaboration with business data steward leads.


Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities Of The Job



  • Establish data governance policies and procedures. Facilitate workshops to standardize master data definition ensuring alignment across cross-functional business and IT stakeholders.
  • Analyze, and document data standardization and business rules for the master data entities, such as Product, Customer, Vendor..
  • Define data quality framework, monitor data quality management and make recommendations for data quality improvement.
  • Ensure compliance, adoption and communication of Data Governance & MDM hub policies across the organization.
  • Review master data management processing and validations.
  • Develop Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PVH master data domains (Product, Customer, Vendor) and build deep content knowledge on how the business end-users use this foundational data to run the business.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, including technical guidance. Train and develop junior team members on master data domains.





  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance or IT master data management within a retail organization.
  • Experience working with business users to understand requirements and translate them into MDM technical configuration/requirements.



  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.



  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of how master data impacts inbound and outbound procedures. 
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills - Anticipate data quality (DQ) impacts, identify root causes for DQ issues, and be proactive about preventing DQ issues.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization; Ability to bring cooperation from leadership and project team.
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas, comprehend written and verbal communications, and possess excellent presentation skills.
